Confocal Imaging Service

Horizon has access to state-of-the-art confocal microscopes. High content imaging can be useful when detailed phenotypic analyses are needed to establish the mechanism of action of a specific gene or compound. Use our imaging services to:

  • Perform detailed mechanism of action studies
  • Examine sub-cellular location of your proteins of interest
  • Analyze proteins that have been tagged with a halo or other tag

Constitutive RAC1 activation results in an altered cell morphology with the appearance of large vacuoles and disruption of the cytoskeleton. Cells grown on coverslips were imaged directly by differential interference contrast microscopy or were fixed and stained to reveal microtubules (red), actin filaments (green) and DNA (blue) using by confocal microscopy.
