Reveal the effect of specific mutations on drug sensitivity by profiling your compounds in Horizon’s Cell Line panels. Multiple cellular backgrounds are available in our 2D and 3D cell proliferation assays.

The decision whether to run your cell-based assays in a 2D or a 3D environment is an important one.

  • If you are looking to quickly and efficiently analyse the efficacy of your compounds in a variety of genetic backgrounds, our 2D proliferation assays would be suitable.
  • 3D assays (soft agar) can be useful when studying pathways, mutations and drugs that produce a particular phenotype in 3D environment that maybe not be detected when cells are grown on tissue culture plastic. They can also be useful when assessing the effect of drugs that target pathways not directly involved in proliferation, such as adhesion and polarity.

  • Choose cell lines from selected Cell Lines and 45 standard cancer cell lines*
  • Soft agar assay with optimized growth and assay conditions
  • 10 point dose response curve
  • 7-14 days treatment time
  • Viability readout
  • Deliverables: Dose response curves and IC50 values
  • Can upgrade the standard package to include 2D vs 3D comparison
