The Association for Molecular Pathology is the leading organization in the field of molecular diagnostics. The theme of this year's meeting was "Precision Medicine Starts Here".
We were pleased to host a workshop with Kevin Balbi discussing: Redefining Standards - Superior assay validation to establish reliable NGS workflows using Horizon's controls
Kevin Babi, Head of Bioinformatics at Sarah Cannon Molecular Diagnostics, will be discussing the validation of targeted sequencing panels on the Ion Torrent platform using Horizon's Tru-Q controls. He covered how these controls are also being used for ongoing internal quality control (IQC) and how this has supported a recent labartory inspection by UKAS under ISO 15189.
